Marketing out of the Internet
To publicize
a site outside the Internet allows to contact potential visitors who are in
direct contact with the webmaster or the company responsible for the site. It
can also be used by groups who are interested in selecting the places they
attend.
Here are
some examples of communication off the Internet:
- The
website address (URL) on all forms of printed paper
letterhead,
business card, invoice, purchase order, brochure, presentation, yellow page,
fax paper, etc.
- The site
as promotional item
Sticker (on
the back of a car), balloon, poster, postcard, t-shirt, cap, etc.
- Sponsor an
event related to the site's activity area
An effective
way to show that the site is better than the competition
-
Participate in a show
Lets the
site become known to a specialized public, to meet counterparts, to build
partnerships
- The specialized
press
see the
promotion of the site thanks to the media
- The local

release to the press and local radio. Post an advertisement in the shops
- Contact
customers and old customers
Let
customers and former customers know that the site exists. Present clearly the
benefits that the site will provide them
-
Colleagues, friends, family
Sometimes
the easiest way to promote a site is simply to talk about it.
